This is the interview that I did with Kate on 3 January 2024.

The full interview is published on our Landlord Law podcast but I am putting out the interview here in sections.

Part 1 is herePart 2 is here.

In this part we discuss the Renters Reform Bill, why it probably won’t ‘work’ and some other things which can be done to help tenants such as education and proper enforcement.  Why getting rid of ‘no fault’ evictions will show that, in reality, there are very few ‘no fault’ evictions and the problems that getting rid of them will cause tenants seeking to be rehoused.  We also discuss the problems with rent controls.
